Meet The UPS Store Retail Owner, Marie Jensen

Meet Marie Jensen, a fourth-generation Oregonian and local retail owner of three The UPS Store locations in Clackamas, Tigard and West Linn. A Salem native and genealogy buff, Marie calls Oregon City, the end of the Oregon Trail, home.

Marie is friendly, compassionate and fearless. Her self-described "get it done" attitude kicked in when her neighbor, an owner of a The UPS Store, suggested that Marie and her husband join The UPS Store family. Intrigued, Marie leveraged her management degree, service industry experience and hands-on approach to open her first The UPS Store location in Clackamas. Working alongside the store staff which has, at times, included her three children, Marie knows the importance of extensive training. "My greatest feeling of satisfaction is when our team is helping our customers," she says with a smile.

Never one to pass up an opportunity to help, Marie's multiple The UPS Store locations actively collect donations for the The UPS Store Toys for Tots Literacy Program during the holidays. But she doesn't stop there. Marie also lends a compassionate hand to low-income children by providing free books for their homes through her work with The Clackamas Bookshelf. Marie loves a great story, often enjoying an audiobook on her way to work or to a Chamber of Commerce meeting where she helps improve and promote the business communities around her.

An investigator at heart, Marie has a passion for researching her genealogy. As a direct descendent of Revolutionary War fighters, she's a card-carrying member of Daughters of the American Revolution and has traced her ancestors back to the Mayflower. But nothing gives Marie more joy than spending time focusing on her immediate family including her four young grandkids, and her husband Don. When she's not spending time with them, she's involved with her church, working out with a trainer, hiking and even enjoying a good wine and whiskey tasting.
