Live Scan fingerprinting is an electronic method of capturing fingerprints and transmitting them to the DOJ and FBI for processing a background check.

Before coming into The UPS Store for your background check please ensure the following:
Live scan application or FD-258 (fingerprint card) is completed
You have valid ID (Non-expired CA Driver's License, Out-of-State License, or DMV ID)*
If you can't provide the above listed ID, please click the Learn More button below to download a list of alternatively accepted identification.

Live Scan Fingerprinting Services
Fingerprinting Service
Fingerprinting is offered on a walk-in basis. Please allow about 15 minutes for fingerprinting service and have the required application and ID ready. Please note that live scan fees vary depending on the application.
Live scan applications and FD-258 fingerprint cards are provided by your employer or licensing board.
