FingerPrinting Services at The UPS Store Del Ray
The UPS Store Del Ray in Alexandria, VA offers Fingerprinting Services 6 days a week by appointment. Fingerprints are captured on paper with ink. This method is still preferred by most Federal agencies, Law enforcement and for background investigations. Your fingerprints are captured on the FBI FD-258 form. The FD-258 is printed on sturdy card stock and included with the service. We also include a notary which indicates that we have validated your identity and that the fingerprints are authentic.
Due to Covid-19, we have modified how we provide fingerprinting services. The changes were initiated to protect customers and staff. To have your fingerprints taken, you will need to wear a face mask and follow the fingerprint technicians’ instructions. If you need a face mask, we can provide one for a fee. Our staff will be wearing a facemask, face shield and latex gloves. Because it isn’t possible to socially distance while capturing fingerprints, it is important that you respect the fingerprint technician and follow all instructions.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
- A valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport. Expired identification is not acceptable for fingerprinting or a notary.
- A FD-258 card, or the form required by your sponsor - Optional

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Fingerprinting is available 6 days a week (Monday - Saturday) by appointment. We schedule 30 minutes per session, but frequently finish in 15 minutes. This allows for a demonstration on how to roll your finger, practice, and then the actual fingerprinting.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost for one set of fingerprints on the provided FD-258 card with a notary stamp is $39.95 per card. Normally, only one card is required, however, some Federal and Law enforcement agencies require multiple cards. In the case of multiple cards, the cost is $39.95 per card.
