If you are traveling abroad, The UPS Store Del Ray can help make your preparations more convenient. Come visit us today to have your passport photo taken. Our photos meet all requirements for U.S. passports and most international photo identification cards.
For U.S. passport photos, the U.S. State Department requires that your passport photo must be:
• In color
• Printed on matte or glossy photo quality paper
• 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) in size
• Sized such that the head is between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches (between 25 and 35 mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head.
• Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance
• Taken in front of a plain white or off-white background
• Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
• With a neutral facial expression and both eyes open
The UPS Store Del Ray can also provide mailing services for new passport applications and passport renewals. For minors under 16, passport application forms must be submitted in person. The U.S. State Department's requirements for shipping renewable passports are listed as follows:
Your Most Recent U.S. Passport:
• Is undamaged and can be submitted with your application;
• Was issued when you were age 16 or older;
• Was issued within the last 15 years; and
• Was issued in your current name or you can legally document your name change with original or certified copy of your marriage certificate or the government-issued document evidencing your legal name change.
For new passport application forms, the U.S. State Department has 6 steps to mail the application as listed below:
• Fill Out Form DS-82: Application For A U.S. Passport by Mail
• Submit your most recent U.S. passport book and/or card
• Submit a certified copy of your marriage certificate or court order if your name has changed
• Pay the Applicable Fee
• Provide One Passport Photo
• Mail application
